Sunday July 10th saw the commissioning of 19 new officers into the Order of Malta Ambulance Corps. The officers hail from the 4 provinces and today marks the culmination of an extensive leadership development programme.
The commissioning ceremony which was led by the Vice President of the Irish Association, Patrick Clyne K.M. and the Ambulance Corps National Director, Commander John Wright K.M. was followed by several service and merit awards.
The National Director was presented with a Cross of the Commander pro Merito Melitensi, an award issued by the Sovereign Council of the Order of Malta in Rome and is given in recognition of those activities that have conferred honour and prestige on the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.
