New Cooperation Agreement Strengthens Humanitarian Partnership with Ecuador

In line with our ongoing commitment to global solidarity and the humanitarian mission of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, the Order of Malta in Ireland has continued its support for international relief efforts through Malteser International. In 2024, these efforts contributed significantly to improving the lives of vulnerable communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The impact is measurable and demonstrates alignment with humanitarian and international development priorities:
405 health facilities received support to maintain essential health services
3,197,005 individuals accessed medical treatment across the region
127,565 people secured access to safe and sustainable water sources
43,919 malnourished children were provided with critical therapeutic care
These outcomes represent our shared values of dignity, solidarity, and care for those most affected by poverty, conflict, and displacement.
