World Day of Peace – Message from the Grand Master
Marking the 59th World Day of Peace, the Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Fra’ John Dunlap, has welcomed the Holy Father’s message as a timely and serious call to moral responsibility at a moment of rising global tension and rearmament.
He reaffirmed the Order’s rejection of the normalisation of war, highlighted the responsibility of political leaders and the media to promote dialogue rather than fear, and underlined the need for courageous leadership in the service of peace. Drawing on the Order’s humanitarian mission and international role, he committed the Order of Malta to continued practical action in support of civilians, victims of conflict and the protection of human dignity worldwide.
